40 medical workers leave for Da Nang in support of the tackle on COVID-19

On behalf of the province's leaders, the Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Phan Ngoc Tho, Head of the Provincal Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control met and gave encouragement to the delegation during the departure ceremony on the morning of August 10.

Ms. Nguyen Khoa Hoai Huong, Chairman of the Provincial Labor Confederation, on behalf of the local working class and workers also gave gifts and encouraged the delegation.

Among the medical staff this time, there are many very young faces. In addition to the responsibility to the unit, to the locality, everyone is excited to get ready to support their colleagues in the center of the outbreak.

Among the young faces who volunteer to leave for Da Nang in the first trip, there is Dr. Nguyen Dinh (115 Emergency Center), who has a wife having just given birth to a child. Having his mother-in-law to take care of his wife and children, he emotionally said to his wife: “Please keep your health and set your mind at rest. I will come back when I finish my mission.”

Encouraging the delegation, the Chairman Phan Ngoc Tho, on behalf of the provincial leaders, acknowledged, praised and sent the deep gratitude of the provincal people and leaders to the 20 doctors and 20 nurses who volunteered to follow the general mobilization order to support the health sector in Da Nang, helping it overcome the current difficulties.

"I believe that, promoting the tradition of one of the health centers of the country, with the skills, enthusiasm and capacity of each member, the working delegation of Thua Thien Hue will successfully complete the mission of helping Da Nang to prevent and control the COVID-19 pandemic. We affirm that helping Da Nang is to help Thua Thien Hue, to help the Central region and to join hands with the whole country to prevent and control the pandemic effectively,” emphasized the Chairman.

Before Thua Thien Hue sent a medical team to support Da Nang, from the end of July up to now, Hue Central Hospital has mobilized nearly 180 highly qualified medical doctors and nurses to treat serious COVID-19 patients who was transferred from Quang Nam and Da Nang.
