Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism - Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Thien awards certificates of merit to 13 individuals making many active contributions to building and developing Hue Academy of Music.
Attending the ceremony were: Member of Party Central Committee, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Thien; and Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Mr. Bui Thanh Ha.
55 years ago (1962), the Hue National School of Music and Theatre, the forerunner of Hue Music Academy came into being. It was an educational institution specializing in music, especially traditional music. Going through over half of a century of foundation, construction and development, Hue Music Academy has trained, cultivated over 6,000 students, cadres, officials, and trained many generations of famous musicians, artists, teachers contributing to music development of the country. The leader generations of the academy always takes care of building the high-quality teaching and research staff. At the same time, they have developed the system of programs, syllabi, and coursebooks of different types of training at all levels.
Provincial leader presents the laudatory writing to Hue Music Academy
Addressing the ceremony, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Thien acknowledged and praised many generations of the academy’s cadres, lecturers and students for their achievements over the last constructional and developmental journey.
The Minister noted that Hue Music Academy holds the great responsibility as one of the three music talent training institutions of the country. So the academy’s leaders need to try and make more efforts for the academy’s development. In the next two years they should focus on basically completing the infrastructures, and at the same time building the highly qualified cadres and lecturers.
On this occasion, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism awarded certificates of merit to 13 individuals making many active contributions to building and developing Hue Academy of Music. Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee presented the laudatory writing "Solidarity, Development, Identity, Integration" to the academy.
