Celebrating 100th birthday of world-renowned artist Le Ba Dang

On the morning of January 6, at the National Hero Memorial of Quang Trung - Nguyen Hue (An Tay Ward, Hue City), Hue City People's Committee held an incense offering ceremony to commemorate the 235th anniversary of Nguyen Hue’s Coronation and dispatching army to defeat the Qing army. The ceremony was attended by representative leaders of the city, departments, branches, unions and people in the area.

Appearing and becoming all the rage in the last months of the year, handmade products made of velvet wires have been attracting the attention and love of many people.

Most of the works were painted with acrylic materials and oil paints under the themes of landscape, heritage architecture, people, seasons, lifestyle, and the cultural and spiritual life of Hue.

The Provincial People's Committee has just issued a decision to recognize Le Ba Dang Memory Space as a tourist destination of the province. The site has been known as a popular art space located in Kim Sơn village, Thuy Bang commune of Hue city, some 10km from the city center.

"The Aspiration for Peace in the Art of Le Ba Dang" is an exhibition theme organized by Hue Museum of Fine Arts in collaboration with Vietnam Museum of Fine Arts, which has just opened on the afternoon of October 8 at the Vietnam Museum of Fine Arts in Vietnam (Hanoi).
