Chairman of Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee visits Hue City prior to the United Nations Great Celebration of the Vesak 2019
TTH.VN - On the morning of May 5th, Chairman of Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Tran Thanh Man visited and congratulated Most Venerable Thich Duc Thanh - Head of Vietnam Buddhist Sangha Executive Board of the province, Abbot of Bao Quoc Pagoda on the occasion of the Great Celebration of the 2,563th Vesak.

Standing Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Bui Thanh Ha, Chairman of the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Nguyen Nam Tien and Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Nguyen Dung accompanied the delegation.
At the meeting, Secretary of the Party Central Committee Tran Thanh Man conveyed his best wishes to Buddhist clergy and the followers of Thua Thien Hue province good health and peacefulness. He also updated the country’s achievements in economy, culture - society, national defense - security, and foreign relations to meet the requirements of and implement the Resolution of the 12th Party Congress.
On the same day, Chairman of Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Tran Thanh Man and members of the Central delegation visited and presented funds of Dai doan ket (Great Solidarity) to build houses for families under preferential treatment policy and poor households in Huong Thuy Town.
Chairman Tran Thanh Man presented 120 million dongs to support 3 households (40 million dongs each) and a gift of 300 thousand dongs to each family, including Mrs. Nguyen Thi Duyen (Group 5, Thuy Phuong Ward), Mr. Huynh Van Hung (Group 5, Thuy Chau ward), and Mr. Phan Van Hieu (Group 6, Thuy Chau ward).
