Commending and rewarding national excellent students in school year 2022-2023

Presenting certificates of merit from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee to students who won prizes

At the ceremony, 62 students who won prizes in the national competition for high school excellent students in the school year 2022 - 2023 received certificates of merit from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee. Among the prizes that the students won, there are 2 first prizes (in Math and English), 17 second prizes, 18 third prizes and 25 consolation prizes. With the above results, Thua Thien Hue ranked 7th out of 10 provinces and cities with the highest achievements.

In this contest, Thua Thien Hue province has the highest number of students winning prizes among the times participating in the national competition for high school excellent students. In addition, 3 students are eligible to participate in the 2023 International Olympic Team Selection Exam (including 1 student in Maths and 2 students in Physics).

Speaking at the commendation ceremony, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Phuong recognized and praised the achievements that the students and teachers of the province's education sector have achieved. This is also the result of innovation in the selection and training of teams to participate in the national excellent student competition according to the requirements of fundamental and comprehensive innovation in education and training. The Chairman also wished that the students would continue their efforts and strive to gain more and more achievements, bringing fame, pride, and honoring the fondness for learning of Thua Thien Hue land.

Awarding certificates of merit to teachers who foster excellent students

In the coming time, the Chairman suggested that all levels and sectors continue to pay more attention to the cause of education, especially in developing, promulgating and implementing projects in the field of education and training. This aims to successfully implement Resolution 05-NQ/TU dated May 24, 2021 of the Provincial Party Committee on building Thua Thien Hue to be one of the high quality multi- disciplinary education and training centers of the country for the period 2021-2025 with a vision to 2030.
