March comes with many important celebrations, such as the International Women's Day (March 8th), Hue Liberation Day (March 26th) and the founding day of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26th).

Encouraging people to wear ao dai is to promote the traditional values of ao dai Vietnam and enhance Hue’s special appeal. The campaign also hopes to contribute to building the image and brand name of Ao dai Hue, towards the title for "Hue – the Capital of Ao Dai".

Ao Dai has become a cultural symbol for Vietnamese women in general. For the women of Hue in particular, Ao Dai is a source of pride because Hue Ao Dai has been firmly established in the hearts of the people. For Ao Dai to flourish and be honored, the support and promotion by our sisters, by the members of the Women's Union throughout the province, are essential.
