"Ao Dai on the heritage road" is also the meeting place of 17 designers to share the pride and inspiration of the national cultural heritage through 16 collections of special Ao Dai.

Participating in the festival are famous designers such as Minh Hanh, Cao Duy, Viet Bao, Ngoc Han, Nhi Hoang, Phuong Thanh ...

On traditional silk material, "Ao Dai on the heritage road" introduces famous landscapes on the central heritage road. These are the Ho Dynasty’s Citadel in Thanh Hoa, the vi dam folk songs of Nghe-Tinh, Phong Nha-Ke Bang regions of Quang Binh, the Nguyen Dynasty’s complex of monuments of Hue Ancient Capital, Hoi An ancient town and My Son Sanctuary in Quang Nam.

The Ao Dai collections express not only Vietnamese culture, communication culture, but also the sacred images that have accompanied the nation's history.

Inspired by the Nguyen Dynasty art, Viet Bao designer borrowed traditional silk material to recall the golden age of the dynasty through sculpture and decorative motifs from spirit animals and flowers. ...

Hue is the place to host the first Ao Dai festival in 2000. Now, the Ao Dai festival at each Hue festival is still an attractive meeting place for local people and tourists.

With Hue, "Ao Dai on the heritage road" is not simply a festival but a way for Hue to "show off" the spiritual beauty of its land.

At that time, cloth produced in the country was cheap; my mother had many ao dai of different colors tailored. She wore ao dai everywhere she went on every occasion.

Hue Ao Dai, a distinct feature

Ao Dai has become a cultural symbol for Vietnamese women in general. For the women of Hue in particular, Ao Dai is a source of pride because Hue Ao Dai has been firmly established in the hearts of the people. For Ao Dai to flourish and be honored, the support and promotion by our sisters, by the members of the Women's Union throughout the province, are essential.
