Signing a project to support community-based ecotourism development in Nam Dong

TTH.VN - On the morning of February 26, the signing ceremony of cooperation agreement was held in Nam Dong district between the Green Truong Son project of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the YesHue Eco Company on the support for community-based ecotourism development in Nam Dong.

Nam Dong district leaders witness the signing ceremony between the two parties

The signing ceremony marked the cooperation between YesHue Eco Company - the investor of the project "Mo Waterfall entertainment and relaxation ecotourism resort" and the Green Truong Son project of USAID with the role of technical support in the access to ecotourism market, exploiting and organizing the management of ecotourism activities, as well as improving the capacity of Co Tu community-based ecotourism development.

Mo Waterfall entertainment and relaxation ecotourism resort is approved by the Provincial People's Committee with a total area of ​​4.9 ha, in Xuan Phu village, Huong Phu commune, Nam Dong district with a total investment of VND 30 billion.

The goal of building this place to become a community ecotourism area of the Co Tu ethnic minority and an experiential tourism on Nam Dong organic agricultural specialties is to contribute to promoting the community-based ecosystems and indigenous resource values ​​in the district.

The USAID-funded Green Truong Son project, with a total investment of USD 24 million, was implemented in Thua Thien Hue and Quang Nam to support these localities in the transition to climate smart-development, contributing to increasing the forest management, protecting biodiversity conservation and enhancing the adaptability of vulnerable communities.

Immediately after the signing ceremony, the delegates took a field survey at Mo Waterfall tourist area.
