Ao dai Festival encouraging and mobilizing the participation, as well as the response of the community

The Ao dai Festival will take place from December 18 to 20, as for the Gastronomy Festival, it will last until December 23 on Le Loi street: the area of ironwood bridge – Nguyen Dinh Chieu pedestrian street – Phan Boi Chau park, etc. In unfavorable weather conditions, the festival will be held at Thua Thien Hue Center for Culture and Cinema instead. 

According to the plan of the Department of Culture and Sports, in the framework of Ao dai Festival, there will be a series of performances including Ao dai Hue fashion show, art performances, combing with the promotion and activities to honor ao dai, encouraging and mobilizing the participation and respond of the community.

Specifically, the festival will hold the parade through the main routes of Hue city to perform five-panel ao dai together with the Cyclo team to create effects and mobilize local people to wear ao dai during the festival time.

The program of ao dai performance and art performance will give to the spectators the designs of Nhat Binh ao dai, five-panel ao dai, ao dai for school, as well as ao dai for work and ao dai for kids, introducing the collections of the designers, performing ao dai of 54 ethnic groups, and holding the displaying space for traditional ao dai.

Meanwhile, the culinary space includes the introduction and promotion activities associated with the activities of performing food cooking and promoting the uniqueness of Hue culinary culture. The Gastronomy Festival will have the participation of around 70 – 80 stalls of tourism and service businesses, introducing the quintessence of folk, traditional, and imperial cuisine, as well as vegetarian cuisine, etc.
