Vinh Thanh bitter melon

TTH.VN - In addition to planting melons, rice and catching seafood ... Vinh Thanh people (Phu Vang district) also plant more crops to increase their income, including bitter melon. Thanks to the application of science and technology, in addition to its main season, they also plant bitter melon in off-season. As a result, they can supply this fruit all year round for some markets in the area.

"Normally, bitter melon is planted in December of lunar calendar and harvested in March next year. However, with new technology, we can plant bitter melon in the harsh summer with full yield," shared a bitter melon grower in Vinh Thanh.

In order to provide readers with a clearer overview about the planting of bitter melon of Vinh Thanh people, Thua Thien Hue Weekly would like to introduce the series of photos taken by Nguyen Khoa Huy, a collaborator, in the days he followed Vinh Thanh farmer planting bitter melon.
